Whether your dog has had previous training or not, Adult Dog Foundations Level 1 is the beginning step at Doglando if your dog is between 8 months and 2 years old.

At Doglando, we focus on the individual dog.

We provide each dog the specific support they need to ultimately enjoy a life of abundance and freedom.

Unlike typical obedience training, we instill the values of:

• human-dog relationships
• dog-to-dog interactions
• your dog’s ability to harmoniously co-exist in a world beyond your home environment

We believe that teaching your dog skills is only 1 part of the equation.

The other, more important components, require us to:

• Teach your dog how to apply their skills to enhance their experiences, and yours.
• Teach your dog the value of these fundamental skills in a way that creates expansive opportunities for them to live a life that focuses on quality, companionship, and rich experiences.
• Enhance their daily living by creating opportunities in their daily routine which allow them to meet their needs fully.

In other words, eliminating:

• frustration
• boredom
• fear
• anxiety
• aggression
• hyper-activity
• and, agitated internal states of any kind

This is the key difference in the way we interpret the need of dog training vs. the need for a lifestyle that promotes learning - intuitively and naturally.

At Doglando, our training programs offer much more than "training" alone. Our philosophy includes 3 components that work together for a "whole dog" approach to well-being:

1. Training Teaches key behavioral responses to specific signals and develops skills.
2. Canine Skill Building Generalizes skills to different scenarios, environments, and conditions, for mastery and fluency.
3. Enrichment After your dog has completed Adult Dog Foundations Levels 1 - 3, and successfully attained the skills necessary for our trainers to engage them in group play, our Enrichment program offers rich learning opportunities for your dog off-leash and in nature, with total freedom of choice and space.

To ensure the safety and well-being of all the dogs in our care, and to provide an environment where your dog can truly thrive, we require all adult dogs and puppies over 8 months old to first pass a Behavioral Assessment with a Doglando Trainer.

We want to make sure that your dog is responsive to our trainers and will get along with the other dogs we care for.

After completing ADF Level 3, we will assess your dog to determine if they need to continue the Skill Building program with our trainers before enrolling into our group Enrichment program.

Before taking our Behavioral Assessment (just $35), we require all new prospective members to first take a tour of Doglando's nature-rich, 6-acre campus. 

We offer 3 packages for Adult Dog Foundations: 

• Packages 1 and 2 include online training lessons, and Skill Building 1 or 2 times a week.
  • To develop the best relationship with your dog, we highly recommend that you invest the time and energy to practice our online training exercises with your dog.
• Package 3 does not include online training lessons. It only includes 3 Skill Building days a week.
